Meeting Highlights - June 2, 2018

Meeting was opened

The meeting was opened and the Pledge of Allegiance was lead by President, Mike O'Reilly.

New attendees and new members were welcomed.

Mike discussed the program offered by Galveston University to engage citizens and teach them about the ins and outs of city govenment.

Minutes and the Treasurers Report for May were read, accepted, and approved.

Committee Reports / Old Business

A new Welcoming Committee has been formed to welcome newcomers to Sea Isle. Gift baskets will soon be given to families moving into Sea Isle in April and May.

Winners of the June Yard of the Month were announced. The winners of the dry lot was Kerry Strait on Zachary and winners of the canal lot were George and Carrie Olson on Dawson.

The Patriotic Parade will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 10:00. (please see the home page on this web site to register).

Andy Olson thanked everyone that helped make the recent "Trash Clean Up" event a success.

New Business

2018 Improvement Projects were discussed and approved. This will include general park improvements, reimbursing the SIPOA for electric work completed at the pavilion and enhancements to the brick walkway by the pavilion.

A June Community Game Night was announced. This event will be held Saturday, June 16th.
